We’ve increasingly seen influencers throw open the decision making process in their lives over to people who subscribe to their OnlyFans pages and the like and very rarely has this proven to be wise on anybody’s part, so let’s see what you think of this one.

The latest person to (possibly?) get stung by this is OnlyFans model Laurie is in the top 0.4% of earners on the site and was offered $1 million (£830,000) by a man who claimed to have fallen in love with her and was begging her to shut down her site and only be with him. Laurie has been asking her followers to make all the decisions in her life for some time now – causing her to leave her partner and an internship she was pursuing – so obviously she put this one to them as well, and you can probably guess how it turned our for her.
Crazily, only 56% of her fans told her that she should reject this guy’s offer – I expected the number to be much higher because you know, most of her fans are probably incels that are completely obsessed with her – and she limped back to him apologising and saying that her community was ‘stronger than anything’. I guess that’s one way of putting it and in fairness she probably earns more than that through her account, anyway so it’s not even that big a deal for her.
A million dollars just for shutting down your site seems way too much to ignore though, so I hope she doesn’t regret it. I guess also she would have maybe had to have been with that creepy guy messaging her for a bit too. That probably played somewhat of a factor in the decisison as well.
Some good news for Laurie though is that her followers have deemed it acceptable for her to receive numbers from guys trying to chirpse her, although they have to give her $5000 for the privilege. Kinda sounds like she’s already got it made here hey if she can charge people $5000 for the phone number and people are paying for it?
