We were all very excited when Nintendo announced last year that they would be bringing the legendary Mario Kart franchise to mobile in the first quarter of this year with Mario Kart Tour, but since that announcement any further details about the franchise have not been forthcoming.

Until now that is and as is so often the case with these things, unfortunately it’s bad news. Turns out that the game has been played until the summer so we’re going to have to wait even longer to play it. Typical.

In the smart-device business, Mario Kart Tour was scheduled to be released this fiscal year, but in order to improve quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch, the release date has been moved to summer 2019.
Fantastic. Pretty sure it will probably get moved back again after that as well because these things always seem to go that way unfortunately. Just don’t get excited about them if you can because that way you’ll never get disappointed by all the constant delays. Hard to live your life that way though.
