For nearly 10 years, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnel was third-in-line to become US President (in case the President and Vice President both died), but that ship has probably sailed now that he can’t get through a press conference without completely freezing mid-sentence.

Not good. I know people question Joe Biden’s cognitive function but Biden’s communication skills are like prime George Washington compared to Mitch McConnell at this point. If there’s ever been a better example of why these positions need term limits and age limits, then this is it.

Even from the politician’s own perspective, I don’t know why you’d want to walk out there in front of all those cameras and millions of people watching around the world looking and behaving like a zombie? Wouldn’t you rather be retired on a beach somewhere?

Hopefully someone can step in and do what’s right here because it’s just sad and undignified to have it carry on.
