I don’t care what anyone says, the Mission Impossible movies are awesome. I heard them lumped in with Fast & Furious recently and couldn’t believe it! Well anyway, here’s the first trailer to the latest M:I offering, and it looks a doozy:

I mean that’s probably the best Mission Impossible trailer ever created. Absolutely glorious! It’s got a killer cast too…

The Mission Impossible franchise has already produced some of the best action films in history, and this sequel looks like it’s gonna match or exceed everything we’ve seen thus far. The trailer gave us some quick glimpses at new cast members and also a look at the returning Henry Czerny, who is reprising his role as Agent Eugene Kittridge from the original movie. The guy played such a good A-hole so it’s good to see him back.

Both Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie, who made the last two movies together, know exactly what to do to make these work. Awesome fight sequences, great stunts, and not too much reliance on CGI. We’re gonna have to wait a while for this to drop – July 2023 – but it’ll definitely be worth it on this evidence. Can’t wait.
