5) Good Things Will Come To You
The law of attraction is actually a pretty compatible concept with regards to mindfulness. Now I don’t mean that if you if you think long and hard hoping to win a million quid, you will win a million quid. That’s just stupid.
No, what this means is, when you stop resisting everything in the present moment you will find that you have everything you need to make you happy. Unless you are trapped in a prison, or being brutally tortured, life has a lot to offer. As a famous Avatamsaka sutra states, “the one contains the all.” Bit hippy dippy, but it’s true.
Try little bits and bobs throughout the day, concentrating on mundane tasks like washing your hands or walking to work. Listen to the sounds of the water, smell the air outside etc. Little clasps of concentration can shift your mindset into a very present and very positive state. And of course, people will pick up on your good vibes and start being nicer to you. Therein lies the secret of getting good things to come to you. Very Zen.
And breath. Ahhhh. Don’t you feel more relaxed just reading that? If you feel this is a load of old rubbish or you can’t be bothered to change your waking life, why not try to change your sleeping life instead by learning how to lucid dream — you can find the guide here.
