One study found that meditators have around 30% more activity of the enzyme telomerase than normal. Telomerase can ease and even stop cell aging. Others have found that it can boost your immune system, ease heart disease and even prevent cancer. Amazing no?
We all know that exercise also makes you live longer so why not combine the two and do a bit of the old yoga. You don’t have to do loads — just a bit of gentle stretching combined with mindfulness and you’re killing two birds with one stone. Although don’t get into Bikram yoga, that can fuck off.
