The last thing anyone wants to see with the incoming Mike Tyson v Jake Paul fight is the 27-year-old YouTuber KO the 58-year-old legend and then go around acting like he beat Iron Mike in his prime, but it seems Paul may have more than just the age advantage after another worrying health update from Tyson this week.

After already postponing the fight once due to an ulcer flare up, Tyson has now admitted ‘it’s hard to walk’ as he prepares for the rescheduled showdown on November 15; around 8 weeks from now.

Tyson said the following while explaining his decision to go through with the fight:

“I could be waiting on a cheque every day (from my cannabis company). That’s BS for me. I’m a man. … I want to go out there and I want to expose myself to risk. …

“Sometimes I want to see who I really am. I want to see what I’m really made out of. …

“I want to perform in front of the world. To me, that’s all I ever knew how to do since I was 14. …

“This fight is not going to change my life financially enough, This is just what I want to do.’’

“It’s hard to walk right now. But two months from now I’m going to be perfect.’’

Well, I guess that’s concerning and reassuring at the same time. Tyson says he’s struggling to walk, but also insists he’ll be good to go on November 15. How can he be so sure, though? Pushing 60 and doing heavy training for this fight while also suffering from ulcers and bad knees and the sort of physical ailments that are not uncommon with men his age… it’s not a good sign really, is it?

Still, you have to respect his decision to go through with the fight. He could easily give an excuse about his ulcers or his knees or his back and no one would begrudge him. But that’s not what Iron Mike Tyson is about. He’s a warrior who’s beaten the best and has been fighting his entire life. It’s simply in his nature to want to step into the ring and go toe-to-toe with any opponent who has the balls to do the same.

Then again, Iron Mike was once someone to be feared, and this is not that. Do we really think Jake Paul is scared of a 58-year-old man who can’t walk properly and suffers from ulcer flare ups? I’ve got a bad feeling that Mike Tyson is getting KO’d in November, but here’s hoping the complete opposite happens and he somehow manages to send Jake Paul’s head to the moon and end his boxing career for good. Come on Mike!
