I think this may be the only time in history that anyone has ever been happy to see the man who robbed them 40+ years later? Although he did get to call Mike Tyson “baby” which is a rare thing I hope he appreciated. The way he whispered “you robbed me when I was 8 years old,” was like something a mafia don would say right before putting two rounds into your stomach at short range, but this guy was genuinely elated to see Iron Mike despite what must’ve been a terrifying encounter all those years ago.
Remember, Mike Tyson had 38 arrests by the time he was 13, so you can only imagine what a big and scary lad he was in his teenage years. The way he’s managed to turn his life around since then (well, aside for the 6-year stretch in prison for rape in 1999) is nothing short of inspirational. Here’s hoping he puts on one last show for us this Friday against Jake Paul on Netflix. It’s probably going to be a disappointment like all these fights are, but who knows? A devastating Mike Tyson KO isn’t completely out of the question.
