The spicy chicken wings/porn star world was thrown into a loop the other week when we learned ‘Hot Ones’ host Sean Evans was dating adult film star Melissa Stratton… only to dump her as soon as the relationship went public and people began trolling him online. For example, this brutally unnecessary Tweet by serial shagger Adam22:
It turns out Sean Evans ended things with Melissa Stratton over the phone (ouch) on Valentine’s Day (double ouch), with Stratton reportedly “caught off-guard” and really upset over the whole thing as she though they shared a “genuine spark”.
Stratton now assures that the reason Sean Evans broke up with her was due to her adult film career, even though he claimed to be totally fine with it when they initially hooked up:
“We definitely talked about what I did before. I mean I was always concerned with his image and how it would affect him. He said it was okay. Well, I think… maybe you feel like you can fly under the radar or like it’s going to be okay, but I think when the heat really comes down to it, it was a lot.”
She reiterated this with the following Tweet:
Fair enough really. Apparently all the talk around their relationship really got to Sean Evans, which is surprising because you wouldn’t expect the host of ‘Hot Ones’ and consumer of the spiciest hot sauces on the planet to be so insecure and sensitive about what people think about him. Certainly not to the point where he dumps his girlfriend over it. Pretty harsh on Melissa Stratton, but then I guess this is the sort of risk you run when working in the industry and dating a non-adult film star. Unlucky.
