The countdown to this weekend’s superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor has begun and while many people have placed their bets on Mayweather winning, this video that recently emerged might just suggest otherwise.

One of the biggest controversies to come out in the build up to the fight was between McGregor and his sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi. The former boxer abruptly left camp after just a couple of days of practice, claiming mistreatment from the McGregor team. The tension between the two continued to rise as Malignaggi disputed images that were released on McGregor’s social media account, showing him on the floor. Malignaggi says that he was pushed to the ground while McGregor claims to have knocked him out with one punch.

Anyway, the pair still haven’t settled things and yesterday new footage was released of McGregor landing more clean shots against Malignaggi, suggesting that McGregor did in fact knock him out and also that he might just have a chance against Mayweather (just to let you know, there’s no sound on the video):

OK, so the clip is only short, but there’s no denying that McGregor got in some decent punches and it definitely looks like he knocked Malignaggi to the floor with a punch right there. Will this be enough to beat Mayweather? It could be – at least we don’t have long to wait to find out.
