It’s a sad inevitability that everyone will die eventually, but when it comes your time could there possibly be a better way to go than having sex with the one true love of your life one last time?

Unbelievably, this is apparently the way that Matthew McConaughey’s daddy met his maker after the Hollywood actor said that his father had a heart attack after he climaxed whilst making love to his mommy for the final time. McConaughey revealed the story in his new memoir ‘Greenlights’ – here’s what he had to say:

I got a call from my Mom. ‘Your Dad died.’ My knees buckled.

I couldn’t believe it. He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except mom.

He’d always told me and my brothers, ‘Boys, when I go, I’m gonna be makin’ love to your mother.’

And that’s what happened. He had a heart attack when he climaxed.

Their relationship was like the Pacific Ocean in a storm. They were violent with each other.

I guess they always say that angry sex/makeup sex is the best kind, but maybe it’s a bit too good when you’re a bit older and your heart isn’t as reliable as it once was. Not sure if this is funny or sad – probably a bit of both, maybe even kinda happy? – although you’ve gotta feel that it would be highly traumatic for Matty’s mum, right?

Strange he doesn’t seem to have spoken about her or how she reacted to this at all? Maybe you have to buy the book to find out those details, but apparently she seems to be getting over it as she’s going on a date with Hugh Grant’s 91 year old dad in a couple of weeks. McConaughey reckons they’ll hit it off so well that they probably won’t see them for a couple of weeks afterwards.
