I think anyone familiar with Matt Hancock – which is the whole country after the last couple of years – will have noticed that his hairline has been receding more and more in recent times, so if you heard that he was seeking a hair transplant in Turkey then you probably wouldn’t be too surprised.

This is exactly what people are in fact speculating after Hancock was spotted checking out clothes in one of the bazaars on the streets of Istanbul. A guy named Abdul al-Kadiri filmed Hancock and posted the video on social media where it has had three and a half million views, adding that there was no way he was on holiday in Turkey right now because it was freezing and the only reason he would be there was to get his teeth done or a hair transplant.

That certainly makes a lot of sense doesn’t it? Don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone going to Turkey in January.
Obviously Hancock has immediately denied these allegations – if you can call them allegations – via his TikTok account in another cringeworthy video. I suppose cringe is sort of his style at this point though so I guess you can argue that at least he’s leaning into it.

I just got back to the office to find a journalist has called to ask if I went to Istanbul at the weekend to have hair transplants and veneers.
No. I did go to Istanbul at the weekend but this story has no teeth… It’s hair today, gone tomorrow.
Ugh that gives me a literal shudder at how bad it is as a joke. Utterly awful.
Anyway, what do you make of Hancock showing up in Turkey? I’m gonna bet that he 100% went over there for an initial consultation and we’ll be seeing his hairline back in no time at all. Hopefully we’ll get to see him model some of the new clothes he picked up over there as well. Chic.
