Marvin Gaye’s ‘Heard It Through The Grapevine’ is surely one of the most iconic and easily recognisable songs of all time – whenever you hear it everyone around you is normally singing along to that classic chorus refrain.
The thing is it might sound even better when it’s just Marvin Gaye singing without any backing vocals or instruments – truly a testament to just what a great singer he was when he was making music. Probably nailed it all in one take too.
Maybe not quite as good as Michael Jackson’s acapella/beatbox version of Beat It though.
