It’s been a slow week for Marilyn Manson news this week after it seemed like every woman that has ever been abused by him that’s going to speak up about it has done so already, but we are now learning that an official investigation into his behaviour has now been opened up.

The announcement was made by an email sent to Variety magazine which said the following:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Bureau is investigating allegation(s) of domestic violence involving Mr. Brian Warner also known as Marilyn Manson, who works in the music industry.

The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011 when Mr. Warner lived in the city of West Hollywood.

Not sure exactly who that would be referring to but I think that’s around the time that Evan Rachel Wood was dating Manson and given that she’s been the most vocal in calling him out it would make sense that it was their relationship that would be under investigation. Whether or not Manson will be charged or face any punishment for his actions remains to be seen though as it’s notoriously difficult in these kinds of cases to prove that someone’s behaviour was actually criminal and not consensual.

Here’s hoping though because it sounds like the guy was a real scumbag to a whole bunch of women. His record label and booking agent have already dropped him, so I guess he’s at least taking the hit in that respect, but it sounds like the punishment should be more severe.
