It seems that in the post Harvey Weinstein world that there are going to be no shortage of women coming out and sharing their stories of how they have been abused by men in positions of power and there’s no way that this isn’t a good thing as men just shouldn’t be behaving in this manner, and they’re probably going to continue to keep doing so unless people call them out on it.

The latest woman to share her story of sexual and physical abuse is Jessika Addams, the lead singer of Florida riot girl band Jack Off Jill. When she was 18, Addams was in a relationship with Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez in which he repeatedly physically and mentally abused her, culminating in her rape.
She bravely shared her story on Facebook a couple of days ago:
Ugh. Again I keep getting tired of typing this but it sounds like an absolutely horrendous experience for anyone to endure, let alone an 18/19 year old girl.
On White’s side, he’s now been booted out of Marilyn Manson because of this and released the following statement:
I have only recently been made aware of these allegations from over 20 years ago.
I do not condone non-consensual sex of any kind.
I will be taking some time to spend with my family and focus on maintaining my several years of sobriety.
If I have caused anyone pain I apologize and truly regret it.
That’s better than some of the statements released by people in the wake of these allegations, but still not exactly up there is it? Although it’s kinda unclear whether any amount of remorse can ever truly lead to forgiveness for actions of this kind.
For more of this crap, check out the singer of Crystal Castles accusing her former bandmate of rape too. Is it ever going to end?
