In further proof (as if we needed it) that we have collectively lost the plot as a society, Margot Robbie has been trending on Twitter this week because some people have been calling her “mid” (average) and saying that he’s “not pretty enough to play Barbie”.
Take a look for yourself if you don’t believe me:
This is her without makeup.
Definitely mid. https://t.co/9sHshGY09z pic.twitter.com/Q4yLPC1dIE

ive been saying for years that margot robbie is mid but no one could see it. i can’t explain it, the looks are there on paper but there is just no prettiness when you behold her yourself. reminds me of an eagle- lacks softness. was always a small insult that she played sharon pic.twitter.com/qcIesehWaT

Margot Robbie was cast in Barbie explicitly because she isn’t pretty enough to alienate a female audience https://t.co/Iw6sEtEngq

Margot Robbie is not hot enough to be Barbie

Absolute madness. It’s such an insane take that I’m almost inclined to believe that it’s part of the Barbie team’s own marketing technique to get more discourse on the movie ahead of its release. I mean, I know that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ and all that, but you’d think it was universally agreed that Margot Robbie is objectively one of the most beautiful women on the planet, no matter who you are or where you’re from.
So if this isn’t just another stroke of marketing genius from the Barbie PR team, then it’s definitely just trolls and incels doing their thing on the internet as usual. I could write a billion more words on how insane these people are but instead I think I’ll just refute the idea that Margot Robbie is “mid” using visual evidence. Thanks for reading:
Case dismissed!
