Remember when Marco Pierre White Jr was on ‘Big Brother’ a few years ago and everyone thought that he was a massive prick?

Well, it turns out that our suspicions were correct as he’s just been sent to jail for a massive crime spree. Offences included the racial abuse of a Tesco Express employee, stealing £2,496 worth of clothes, Ray-Ban sunglasses and a credit card holder from Wadswick Country Store, possession of a knife, possession of heroin and stealing bottles of alcohol from Waitrose. Quite the rap list there hey?

The celebrity chef’s son has been sentenced to 18 months in jail. He’s already been serving time in prison whilst on remand, with his defence lawyer Catherine Flint really ramping up the waterworks in an effort to get him a lighter sentence:

His dad is well-known and known to be wealthy.

He [White Jr] has suffered bullying, intimidation, extortion, threats of violence and actual violence.

He is finding it incredibly difficult in prison. He is terrified at the thought of ever having to go back.

He has been suffering from heroin addiction since being involved in a car crash when he was 18.

He is deeply ashamed after racially abusing the security guard and would very much like an opportunity from this court for another chance to try and get his life back on track.

He has been offered a chef position at his father’s restaurant upon his release.

OK so firstly heroin addiction is pretty awful so I’m not gonna make fun of MPW Jr for those issues, but the fact is I’m pretty sure he could get money off his dad to do heroin rather than stealing clothes from shops. On top of that, there’s no real excuse for racially abusing anyone. Added to this the fact that he came across like a major jerk on Big Brother, could easily have done anything else in the world with the amount of money available to him and also just seems like a massive prick so I don’t really feel sorry for him being sent to jail.

Hopefully he doesn’t get too scared/upset during his prison sentence (wah) and it sorts him out and gets him on the straight and narrow. Guy needs a wake up call. Maybe this is it.
