A new club night in Manchester has been condemned as ‘distasteful and discriminatory’ for offering a ‘free dwarf’ with every VIP table booking.

The Closet, which runs a night at The Oxford Club on Central Street, is holding its first ‘Wonderland’ event tomorrow night (Thursday). One of the packages they’re offering is the £850 Ballers Booth, which includes entry for 15 people, a bottle of champagne, four bottles of vodka plus mixers and… a free midget.
The midget basically waits on the table and will ‘dance on demand’, according to organisers.
A spokesman for the Restricted Growth Associated said
The RGA campaigns for a better society for people with dwarfism and is strongly opposed to events such as these which we believe are distasteful and discriminatory, and can encourage abuse towards our members.

I don’t see the problem with this really? If the dancing midget wants to dance, let him dance. I don’t know who the Restricted Growth Association think they are trying to decide what midgets can and can’t do. Surely it’s a good thing that these midgets can make money dancing on tables all night since working the bar / security or whatever other nightclub gig would probably be a lot more challenging.
Let the midgets to their thing, I say. Whether it’s dancing on tables or getting brutalised in Mexican wrestling rings.
