A man has saved a small dog from a violent German Shepherd by repeteadly sticking his finger up the dog’s b*m hole.

I had always heard that this was the recommended technique to get a dog to unclamp its jaws, but had never seen it put into action. Turns out it totally works! Well, eventually:

Incredible. The incident took place at Roe Green Park in Brent, northwest London last weekend. Multiple people got involved to try stop the attack (though I’m not sure what the guy with the water bottle was doing), but it was the one brave man who stuck his finger up the dog’s poop chute who ended up saving that tiny dog’s life. Though I’m sure a stick would’ve been preferable.

Unfortunately, according to MailOnline, the German Shepherd ended up getting loose again and attacked the other little black dog as well. No word on either dog’s condition yet, but here’s hoping the injuries aren’t too bad although I’m sure the little guys will be traumatised for a long while.

As usual, it does seem to be a case of an idiot owner with no control over his dog that leads to this situation. Let’s hope that gets dealt with by the appropriate authorities also.
