How would you feel if you were 30,000 feet up in the air and some deranged lunatic who claimed to be the son of Dracula announced he was taking over the plane, attempted to open the emergency exit, and demanded the SWAT team come and shoot him down?
Most people aboard this United Airlines flight from LA to Boston seemed largely unbothered, tbh. Until the man attempted to go on a stabbing rampage with a plastic spoon:

Fair play to that parade of dads getting involved at the end there. Lisa Olsen of Rhode Island, who recorded the video, says the first five hours of the flight were “uneventful” but that Torres AKA Balthazar lost the plot about 45 minutes before landing and tried to open the emergency door between first class and coach. After the incident, they zip tied him but he was able to wriggle free (Dracula dark magic?), so passengers and crew had to physically restrain him until landing, where he was arrested.
Just to put everyone at ease – it’s physically impossible to open a plane door mid-flight, which is actually a pity because they could have made him walk the wing and evaporate in the sunlight. Why do these lunatics only ever seem to pop up on American flights?
