Unbelievably surreal video out of Friendsville, Tennessee today as a deranged man shoots his partner’s son from point-blank range in the middle of a heated argument after the lad wouldn’t stop trolling him on camera.

Well, he did try to warn him. So what happened next? According to the NY Post, the injured son/cameraman called 911 (understandable) which resulted in a 2-hour standoff between police and the shooter, 68-year-old Jeffrey Scott West. In the end, West ended up shooting himself in the head and died at the scene.

The son, Kyle W. Spitze, 24, was treated at hospital for a gunshot wound to his ear, which you have to count as a very lucky escape given the old man was truly out of his mind. Seems like it was a pretty mental household in general given this guy’s just got done banging his mum who then she shows up with her shorts around her ankles trying to stop the two from killing from each other (although I suppose she could have just come out the toilet).

Here’s hoping mum and son are doing better, and the next guy she tries to date doesn’t attempt to murder her son (annoying as he might be).
