I remember when I was a kid and people’s eyes always used to pop out of their heads in cartoons and I never really thought anyone would be able to do it that effectively in real life, but here we are a bunch of years later and this guy Sidney de Carvalho Mesquita is here to prove me wrong.

Sidney – who is sometimes called Uncle Fester by his friends for obvious reasons – has been making funny faces since he was eight years old and realised he could push his eyes out of his head pretty early on. At first his family thought that he was sick, but then realised they could make a pretty penny out of it as well.

Yeah I suppose it is – if you want to give everyone the ick and not have anyone talk to him for the rest of the night. Maybe save it for Halloween Uncle Fester.

Anyway, if you want to know the details about Sidney’s achievement, then he can pop his eyes out 1.8 cm, which seems like a remarkably long distance to me. It was all confirmed by an optometrist using a special device called a proptometer, so he definitely isn’t faking it or anything.

One other gross detail about his talent is that whenever he pops them out then he loses his sight in both of them for a few seconds, but thankfully it has always comes back. I dunno if I would be doing that so much if I was him in that case – wouldn’t you always be worried that it might not come back? Or that your eyes might fall out?

Kinda confused how he even discovered he had this skill in the first place as well. What a freak. Guinness World Record holder though.
