A guy with absolutely zero acting experience has been cast to play a dead man on CSI: Las Vegas after impressing bosses with his dedication to pretending to be dead on TikTok.
For the past 321 days, 42-year-old Josh Nalley created daily posts pretending to be dead in the streets of Kentucky as he campaigned for a role as an “un-alive person” on a “movie or television show”, switching to various locations but seldom changing his pose.

Josh told the Courier Journal:
“I got an email from CBS that said they’d seen me on TikTok and wanted to offer me the part. At first I didn’t believe it, but they flew me out to California. It turned out that Mario Van Peeples was the director for that episode so besides getting cast in the show, I also got to meet him, which was great.”
What a guy. Spent a year of his life pretending to be dead on the streets and now he’s gonna get paid to do it for one day on an episode of CSI. He even said he didn’t want a talking part, and really just wants to be a corpse on camera. If that’s as far as the guy’s acting aspirations go, then it’s a bit weird but fair play to him.
The most amazing thing is that he actually kept at this for 321 days until someone hired him. He believed in his ability to play a dead body so much that he just did it every day until he was contacted by a major TV show to appear in one of their episodes. Pretty inspiring stuff tbh. And doing it via TikTok as a 42-year-old man? Just goes to show anything is possible. Go Josh Go!
For an actual corpse, get a load of the ‘extreme embalming’ trend taking over Puerto Rico.
