I never thought we’d ever see a Zoom court moment more ridiculous/hilarious than Buttf*cker 3000 or the Cat Lawyer, but this man out in Michigan may have just topped both of them by Zooming in to his hearing over a suspended driver’s license while literally driving.
Pretty bold strategy – let’s see how it turned out for him:
A district judge in Michigan was shocked when a man with a suspended driver’s license joined a court Zoom call while driving a car. At one point the judge says, “I don’t even know why he would do that.” pic.twitter.com/XlzdNFnfUx

Incredible. I mean, the judge’s face said it all really:
As did the face of the defendant behind the wheel:
As the great George Carlin once said – “just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realise half the people are more stupid than that!”. What’s this guy going to do next time? Zoom into court for a burglary charge while breaking into the judge’s house?
Unless… he isn’t actually as stupid as we think, and did this on purpose to go viral? Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but it’s certainly possible in this day and age. After all, no one could truly be stupid enough to show up to Zoom court on a suspended license charge while pulling up to the doctor’s office in their car, right? This guy had a plan to go viral and he absolutely knocked it out of the park.
Now, it did result in the defendant having his bond revoked and being ordered to turn himself straight into jail, but that’s just the price you have to pay to go viral sometimes. The judge clearly didn’t find his stunt as awesome/hilarious as the rest of us, but that’s a risk this man was willing to take. Onwards and upwards.
