A Taiwanese man who was lucky enough to get his hands on a Playstation 5 has been forced to sell the console after his furious wife discovered it wasn’t an air purifier like he’d told her.

The buyer, Jin Wu, shared his experience on Facebook, explaining how he’d arranged to meet up with the seller in person and even called to verify the purchase, but was met by a female voice who he said didn’t sound like she much of a gamer.
When Wu met the seller to purchase his new PS5, he was greeted by a depressed-looking husband instead of his wife.
After some small talk about where the device was purchased, the husband admitted that he tricked his wife into thinking the PS5 was an air purifier, and she was the one who had insisted he sell the console.
The Facebook post read:
When the seller arrived, it turned out to be a middle-aged man. You could tell that he definitely played video games, just with a single look.
I went silent after seeing the look in his eyes. I could feel his pain.
Poor guy. To even be able to get your hands on a PS5 in the middle of a pandemic and in this economy is an accomplishment in itself, let alone being able to dupe your wife by convincing her (for a short while at least) that it’s an air purifier. The fact he even felt the need to tell this lie just goes to show you what a mission it was for him to get a Playstation 5 in the first place.

Clearly they’d had this discussion before and his wife made it clear there was to be no Playstation 5 under their roof. I guess his plan was to play it when she went out or was asleep and come up with some kind of excuse when she asked why the air was never purified. Well it looks like she figured out the truth sooner than expected and this poor fuck had to sell his console probably before he even had his first game installed.
Poor form from Jin Wu as well not inviting the guy over to play 2 player on the PS5 he just bought from him, especially after acknowledging the sad look in his eyes. Oh well, there’s always Angry Birds.
