The general standard of living in this country has been deteriorating for some time now with the clearest indication being how it’s almost impossible to get a doctor’s appointment in some areas of the country, with the situation becoming so bad for one man that he was forced to pull out his own teeth.

50 year old David Sergeant claims that he’s been forced to wait over a decade for a dental appointment on the NHS and as he can’t afford private healthcare he has been forced to have a couple of beers and pop some ibuprofen before yanking his own teeth out. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:
I’ve been pulling my own teeth out. I can’t get an NHS dentist, for ten or 15 years.
I’ve tried referrals from the doctors and there’s nowhere that will take me.
I wait until the tooth is loose and then loosen it and loosen it and loosen it and pull it out myself,” he explained.
I have used plyers in the past, like big ones, but most of the time I just use my fingers.
I have a couple of beers and fill myself up with ibuprofen and out it comes. Next morning there’s a bit of blood.
It doesn’t feel very good. At the end of the day, I’m having to pull my own teeth out when I should have somebody looking after me.
Geez that’s so grim isn’t it? Although it doesn’t sound like David is the sharpest tool in the shed, it’s still a sad indicator of where the UK is at the moment that he feels like he’s being forced to do this himself. Hope he manages to get some of the care he’s after but it isn’t looking too likely in the current circumstances.
Thankfully though Liz Truss is well on her way to sorting out all the problems in this country. Shouldn’t take too long to sort.
