Manchester City put on an absolute clinic during their 6-1 thrashing of Aston Villa last Sunday, and the team reportedly congratulated themselves by flying in 22 Instagram models from Italy for a ‘Bunga Bunga’ style party (shout out Silvio Berlusconi).

MailOnline reports how the models were flown into the £150-a-night Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Cheshire before the Aston Villa battering, and waited for Sergio Aguero and co to show up after the game.

Obviously most if not all of these players have wives and girlfriends at home so not sure how they will have reacted to the news that 22 hot models from Italy were invited to hang out with the players and they weren’t, but I guess these sorts of awkward situations are part and parcel of being a WAG in the first place.

P.S. Man City stars weren’t the only ones who had themselves a good weekend – Sheffield United’s Oli McBurnie went home with a porn star after scoring the winner against West Ham. It’s a tough life eh?
