By now you’ve probably seen the viral clip out of Limehouse, east London, where police officers shot dead two dogs and tasered a man who had failed to keep them under control after they had already attacked a woman.
Here’s the footage in case you missed it:

As per Sky News, the man in the video, Louis Turnbull, 46, has been charged this week with two dangerous dog offences; being the owner of a dog that was dangerously under control and being in possession of a dog while disqualified from owning or keeping a dog. So basically the last person you’d want in charge of any dog and a disaster waiting to happen, which is what we got.
A statement from the Met said:
‘The charges follow a call to police just after 5pm on Sunday, May 7, to reports of a woman being attacked by a dog in Commercial Road, E14.
Officers located a woman who reported two dogs had attacked her dog.
She had also suffered an injury to her leg during the incident. She did not require hospital treatment.
Both dogs were destroyed by police at the scene.’
The Met have come under a lot of criticism for how they handled the incident. Clearly the dogs were a threat but was shooting them dead really the best option? I suppose so, if it means they don’t get to maim or kill another dog/person ever again. Shame they had such a moronic and irresponsible owner, eh?
