We’ve heard some absolutely ridiculous reasons for people breaking up with their partners over the years, but this one about a guy dumping his girlfriend because she went to McDonald’s without him so much that he thought she was cheating on him has got to rank up there with some of the best of them.

I honest to god have no idea what the f*** to do, I’ve been freaking out.

I’ve been with my boyfriend for nearly three years and he’s followed a vegan lifestyle since he was 18.

When we moved in together last year he asked me if I would consider a vegan diet.

Honestly, I was contemplating going vegan beforehand so I thought why not.

At first it was okay but f***ing hell, I was craving chicken McNuggets like there was no tomorrow.

I would literally have dreams where I’m surrounded by chicken nuggets.

I would watch Matt Stonie videos [a competitive eater from the US] and get SO jealous.

So at least twice a week I would sneak out the house and say I’m just going to the supermarket or running errands and then I’d go to McDonald’s and eat a bunch of nuggets or a McChicken.

I would then quickly go to the grocery store and buy random s*** we don’t even need so he thinks I really was just at the supermarket.

I was doing this for months but my ex started getting suspicious and yesterday he blew up at me and accused me of cheating on him because of the amount of times I leave the house and refuse to let him come with me. He then broke up with me.

I came clean with him about the whole thing but he refused to believe me.

He thinks I’m lying about going to McDonald’s and he is convinced I’m just covering up that I’m sleeping with another guy.

How the f*** can I prove that I haven’t been cheating? I never thought my relationship would end over something so stupid.

Lol what a mess. She hasn’t really gone into detail about how militant the guy is about veganism, but I’m pretty sure that the dude wouldn’t mind that much if she ate chicken nuggets every now and again if she had just mentioned it to him in the first place? Relationships are supposed to be about trust and communication aren’t they? Not having secrets about

Also seems kinda crazy that she can’t just prove to him that she was going to McDonald’s the whole time by showing him her card receipts or just the receipts in general. Or maybe even go into the McDonald’s and get the staff to tell him how much she comes in? There’s definitely some ways out of this – if the guy can come to terms with how she was breaking veg the whole time of course. Big if.
