Whilst we’re still waiting for the DNA results from Julia Wendell that should hopefully prove to the world that she’s actually Madeleine McCann (sure), her investigator buddy Dr Fia Johansson has revealed how much money the pair of them have earned from their recent press appearances all around the world.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been calling the both of them out for the past couple of weeks for milking these claims to the absolute maximum, with the presumption that they’re making major bank off them but apparently I’m barking up the wrong tree. At least according to Johansson, who has come out with the following statement about their financial situation:

Hello guys – about Dr Phil if we made money… no. We didn’t actually get a dime to be involved with Dr Phil’s show.
We didn’t receive anything, Julia [didn’t] receive anything, Julia just went on the stage and was herself and told the truth.
A lot of you ask if Julia made some sort of money by going to any type of press, Radar [RadarOnline] for example, all other things… no.
We did not pay them anything, they did not pay us anything.
I mean obviously she’s going to say that because she doesn’t want everyone to think that she’s an absolute fraud, but I just don’t think I’m buying it whatsoever. Again, I don’t mind saying that I don’t really know how the finances work when you’re appearing on a show like Dr Phil or a website like RadarOnline.com, but I can’t really believe that they’re doing all this for free?
There’s literally no point or advantage in them going on either of these shows unless they’re making money off it because the exposure is just going to be full of people like me calling them out for being liars and milking it for all it’s worth. Maybe I’m missing something but it just doesn’t make any sense for them to even be doing any of this? Just sit at home and wait until the DNA results come in, there’s literally no need for a press tour before anything’s confirmed and it’s all speculation? Really bizarre couple of people.
