Machine Gun Kelly Says He Put Loaded Shotgun In His Mouth During Intense Phone Call With Megan Fox

You would think that Machine Gun Kelly had the sweetest, most privileged, and stress-free existence of any human being on the planet. After all, the guy was just another emo rapper a couple years ago. Then he dated Kate Beckinsale, Sommer Ray and Megan Fox within the space of 12 months, becoming a household name in the process. How jammy can one person get?

Well apparently it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and drinking each other’s blood, as MGK recently revealed that he once almost attempted suicide while on the phone with Fox. The incident took place back in July 2020 after MGK had learnt of the death of his father, with Megan filming a movie over in Bulgaria at the time. Here’s what MGK had to say in an interview with Complex:

“I wouldn’t leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark. Megan went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie and I started getting this really wild paranoia.

Like, I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me.

I called Megan. I was like, ‘You aren’t here for me.’ I’m in my room and I’m, like, freaking out on her. Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth.

And I’m yelling on the phone, and like, the barrel’s in my mouth. And I go to cock the shotgun and the bullet, as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan’s like dead silent.”

Obviously we don’t want to mock the guy for his mental health issues, but it’s just so on-brand for MGK to come out with a story about nearly blowing his own head off with a shotgun while on the phone to Megan Fox. Hopefully it’s something he’s spoken to a professional about rather than just to Complex magazine, because it’s a concerning situation, not to mention unfair on Megan Fox to have to deal with while on the other side of the world. Emotionally abusive, some might say!

Then again these two have a history of romanticising their drug addictions and emo behaviour in general so it’s extra worrying knowing that easy-to-influence teens will be reading about this and think it’s cool or whatever. As I say, hopefully the guy has seen/is seeing a therapist and lays off the drugs because no one wants to see another dead musician before their time. Come on MGK, get it together!
