A Waukesha, Wisconsin man and woman have been charged after they reportedly had sex on the floor of a local laundromat on Christmas Eve. It doesn’t get more romantic than that, surely?
Desmound Cleveland, 29, was charged this week with a count of disorderly conduct, plus a penalty enhancer for repeat criminality (the couple had previously been charged for having sex in the lobby of the county jail last May).
Karen Hill, 67, was also charged with disorderly conduct and repeat criminality, plus two counts of bail jumping.
The owner of Flash Laundromat on East Broadway reported to police Dec. 24 that upon reviewing security video of the establishment, he could see Desmound and Karen getting frisky under a blanket on the floor of the laundromat, apparently engaging in full sexual intercourse:
“An unsuspecting patron is sitting not far from where this was happening the entire time. Also, another patron is in the laundromat doing their laundry,” the complaint said. “As the patron is leaving, the patron looks in the direction of the two of them but it is unknown what was actually observed. Based on the repetitive thrusting motions made and that the defendants were naked from the waist down to their mid-calves … adding, “at no time in the video are the descendants seen using the laundromat for cleaning clothes.”
When the pair had been busted having sex in the lobby of the county jail earlier in the year, Karen told police they chose the location after she was kicked out of a group home where Desmound was visiting her. Naturally, the next best place to have sex was in the lobby of the Waukesha country jail. Obviously!
Now obviously what Desmound and Karen did was completely gross and inappropriate, but you also can’t help but feel bad for them. I mean, imagine spending your Christmas Eve having sex on the floor of a laundromat? That’s just where some people are at in their lives, even during the festive period where the rest of us are wrapped up nice and and warm at home around the Christmas tree with our families.
Both Desmound and Karen now face up to two years in prison, but there’s no doubt in my mind that once they’re free, they’ll go right back to having sex in inappropriate public spaces. It says something about how compatible these two souls are that they’re both willing to risk prison time to have sex in the lobby of a county jail and then do the same thing on the floor of a laundromat, and wherever else they’ll end up doing it in the future. The heart wants what the heart wants!
