Remember Lloyd Banks? He was the most lyrical and underrated rapper out of 50 Cen’t G-Unit crew all those years back, who despite having a couple of hit songs never really saw his career take off because he wasn’t as willing to dumb his music down to the level of his peers.

Well last night, when a fan asked the former G-Unit member to drop another album, the self-aware rapper replied with possibly the saddest Tweet in Twitter history:
Let’s be real..ain’t nobody checking for banks anymore https://t.co/SWC7wTnqys

Ouch. What a soul crusher that is. It’s heartbreaking to know that Lloyd Banks thinks nobody cares about him or his music anymore. Unfortunately, he’s right. The last song of his anyone remembers was ‘Beamer, Benz or Bentley’ and that came out in 2010:
Since then he’s put out a number of songs and mixtapes but judging from the views, like he says – “ain’t nobody checking for Banks anymore”. He’s 37 years old now and the rap industry has changed a lot since then.
It’s even more devastating when you take a look at some of the other depressing shit he Tweets:
unwanted attention

Withdrawal

Still, there is some hope for Banks and the fans he does have left. If you look at the replies under his Tweet, there are a bunch of people offering support and showing him love. Maybe it’s not that people don’t care for his music, maybe they all just forgot he exists?
Never forget:
