A lot of people were very impressed by The Witch a couple of years ago – whilst it wasn’t particularly horrifying or scary, it just had this constant feeling of dread building throughout it that made it incredibly uncomfortable to watch – and it looks like director Robert Eggers has done it again with his latest movie The Lighthouse.

The film stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe as a couple of men working at a lighthouse and that seems to be the plot as the trailer doesn’t really evoke anything else, other than that the pair of them seem to get wasted a lot and that something very bad and terrifying is going to happen at some point during the movie. You kinda get the feeling that Dafoe is going to kill Pattinson, but I doubt anything is really as it seems in this movie is it?

Yeah, that is definitely going to be pretty messed up and probably a deeply unsettling watch that will stay with you a long time after you finish watching it. No news on a confirmed release date over here yet, but it should around October/November time I reckon. Get ready.
