Noel and Liam Gallagher famously don’t get on at all, but it’s never really been explained as to why – just that they rub each other up the wrong way.

Liam has finally decided to come clean though and pinpoint the exact moment that their beef started. He was talking to radio DJ Howard Stern over in LA whilst he was promoting his new album – you can hear the whole thing below or just read it underneath that too, whichever takes your fancy:

I’d been out drinking when I was about 15 and I had maybe a little too many sherries, and I come in, and I have a spliff as well. The room was spinning and I got up out of bed […] I couldn’t find the light switch, and I thought, ‘Fuck it, I’m just gonna have to go, man.’

I whipped it out and pissed all over his fucking new sound system. And he’s going, ‘What the fuck are you doing?’ I was like, ‘I was just having a fucking piss.’ [He says,] ‘Is that my new fucking stereo?’ [I said,] ‘It’s alright, it will fucking dry, won’t it?’ And I think he holds a grudge over that.

I mean that’s a pretty good reason to get annoyed at somebody isn’t it? Not surprised the two of them have never made up with Liam being as mouthy as we all know he can be all the time. Must be a goddamn nightmare.

Still, even Liam thinks that a reunion is inevitable despite their differences. It’s just a matter of when.
