Lewis Capaldi is just such a relatable everyman and he’s really turning it on during the campaign for his new song ‘Forget Me’, now revealing that he’s been banned from Tinder as the app doesn’t believe that he’s the real Lewis Capaldi.

I’ve just been kicked off Tinder because people think I’m fake, I’ve been kicked off Bumble, Tinder and Hinge.

Someone told me to go on this one called Feeld and I go on it and it’s so sexual, it’s unbelievable.

It’s all about kinks and BDSM and I’m like, this is way beyond anything I’m tuned in for.

I like hanging out with new people and… s***ging and that, I guess,’ he explained, while admitting his lifestyle means they would need to be ‘understanding’.

If I met the right person I’d be buzzed. But right now it’s a bit unfair with the other person, they’d have to be quite an understanding human being. And kids? Right now that’s not in my plans at all. One of my friends has four kids and that’s not my bag at all.

I met my last girlfriend Catherine on Tinder and se was great.

I’m trying to work out dating someone who isn’t in the public eye as well because I don’t want to use my fame, or for that to have any influence over someone I’m dating.

What, am I only supposed to date people who are famous? That’s a really weird thing.

Wow. The guy is just so empathetic and knows exactly what the average person is thinking all the time doesn’t he? Definitely going to buy his single now – how could I not?

In all seriousness though, I find it kind of weird that a world famous guy like Lewis Capaldi needs to use dating apps in the first place? I get that it might be weird for him dating someone who isn’t famous because of the power imbalance that he’s addressing there, but surely if he’s on an app and acting as himself then that’s just going to exist there straight away? So strange that he would even contemplate using the apps given his status. I hope he works it out and gets a gf though.
