Always one to break the mould, Lena Dunham decided to post a rather controversial selfie recently.

Unlike most Instagram users who post themselves pouting or with their arses stuck out, Lena decided to put up a picture of her on the toilet, mid-piss with her trousers down.

The ‘Girls’ star has apparently “shocked” her followers. Although if I’m honest, you shouldn’t really be following Lena Dunham if you’re going to be shocked by a toilet picture. It’s only a little piss photo for fuck’s sake. One person commented:

I love you dearly… you are my spirit animal. But c’mon… even Snooki would think this is too much.

While another labelled the star, “classless.” Come on guys, Kim Kardashian posts pictures of her vagina online all the time and people call her an “inspiration to women.” And Lena gets rinsed for this image despite writing a sitcom that pretty much summarises the life of every single 20-something trying to make it in the city. This chick’s incredibly talented and funny, get a grip.
