Actress Leah Remini is probably the bravest person in Hollywood, risking her life (no exaggeration) for years now to make sure people know how insane the Church of Scientology is. After all, she’s got an inside perspective. She’d been a member of the Church of Scientology from the age of 9 and only left in 2013 when she realised what a corrupt organisation it was.
Remini’s problems with Scientology began with the disappearance of Scientology leader David Miscavige’s wife Shelly, a friend of hers who vanished suddenly without a trace. 20. An investigation must be opened into Cory’s relationship with Scientology and the LAPD’s interactions with Scientology overall.
And the LAPD must not attend Scientology events anymore or accept their funds.

Absolute insanity but not all that surprising given their reputation. Respect to Leah Remini for staying on their necks and acquiring two massive targets on her back in the process – from the Scientologists and the LAPD. Amazing how she’s dedicated her post-Scientology life to exposing this stuff even with how much it jeopardises her career and safety. It’s actually pretty smart too. By going loud and public with this stuff, people will immediately suspect Scientology if anything happens to her. If she had tried to reform and/or call them out privately, she’d have disappeared before any of it wound up online.
Question is – will anyone with any balls/influence take this seriously enough to follow up? Let’s hope so.
