2. BARBADOS – IT IS ILLEGAL FOR ANYONE TO WEAR CAMOUFLAGE CLOTHING
I don’t know if anybody actually still think it’s a good idea to wear camo shorts down to the local beach bar, but if you were planning on doing it in Barbados then think again. Actually if you were planning on doing it anywhere you should probably think again but definitely in Barbados because the police will be all over you like a bad rash.
It’s been illegal for a long long time in Barbados because groups of rudeboys used to hang around in gangs wearing camo (ghetto) and robbing people and getting up to all kinds of illegal activities like drug smuggling and rape. Many citizens would just do whatever these gangs wanted because they mistook them for the Defence League of the country because of their uniforms and so thought they were ordering them to do something necessary for the island. Thus they would be completely subservient to them and get messed up somehow.
To stop this happening the government banned everyone in the country from wearing camouflage clothes unless they were representing the Defence League. Simple. Unless you were going on holiday to Barbados in 2008 and were 15 years old.
