Horror movies are constantly pushing the boundaries with their insanely weird and creepy plotlines and the latest one to continue this tradition is A24’s new offering ‘Lamb’, which is being described as an ‘Icelandic folk tale’ crossed with a ‘Nordic livestock horror’ – whatever the hell that means.

Have a look at the trailer below and see if you can figure out what the hell is going on:

Err what? From what I can tell there it seems like these two Icelandic farmers give birth to a half human/half lamb hybrid and then have to deal with the very strange and weird consequences? Apparently the plot is so out there and crazy that reviewers are reluctant to give even a vague summary of it so as to ruin the whole experience and that only makes me more intrigued about what’s actually going to go down in this movie.
Definitely going to see this one when it drops on October 8th and if it’s anywhere near as good as A24’s recent output of horror movies (‘Hereditary’, ‘Midsommar’, ‘The Witch’ etc) then it should be a modern classic. Let’s go.
For more of the same, check out Nicolas Cage’s recent tour de force ‘Pig’. Why are so many weird animal movies coming out at the moment?
