It’s too bad that celebrities are expected to have an opinion on everything that’s happening in the world despite the fact that most of them are completely unqualified to talk about certain topics and completely clueless as to what’s happening outside their own bubble; for example, KSI and Israel-Palestine.
KSI was probably screwed no matter what he said about the situation, so instead he said he knew nothing and didn’t want to talk about it:

Unfortunately, this resulted in a load of backlash from people that can’t believe that YouTuber and social media star KSI doesn’t have an opinion on the Israel and Palestine beef. Although I guess cracking up laughing while explaining that to his viewers probably didn’t help…

I mean, let’s be honest, there’s no way that KSI doesn’t at least have a general idea of what’s been happening with Israel and Palestine, but can we really be mad at him for refusing to comment? It’s not like any other celebrity who’s speaking out about the situation has done themselves or the conflict any favours, so really all he’d be doing is putting his livelihood at risk for a few pats on the back on social media.
Then again, you might say someone with his platform and following could really affect change and mobilise millions of others, perhaps even some of his YouTube peers, to speak out too. I guess when everything is going great in your life and career though you’ve got to weight up the overall risk/reward to getting involved in this discussion publicly.
