Following the weekend’s excellent episode of ‘Game Of Thrones’, (spoilers) a whole new iconic catchphrase was spawned as we finally learned the origin of Hodor’s name and found out that it was because he was literally holding a door and his name became a shortened version of that phrase.

Obviously Hodor ended up dying whilst he was holding the door (watch the episode if you don’t think that makes any sense, because it kinda does, I just can’t be bothered to explain it here) which has led to a whole load of miserable ‘Game Of Thrones’ fans this week that will pretty much start crying whenever they hear those words. And as for Hodor actor Kristian Nairn, it’s probably something that is going to stay with him for the rest of his life and that he’ll never be able to escape.
Of course, that means that the trolling has already started as we can see from the video below:
Hmm. Hardly that original but I suppose there isn’t really that much you can do when the whole joke is going to revolve around asking Nairn to hold some kind of door and him looking pissed off about it. Don’t worry dude, you’ve got the rest of your life full of it.
Apparently the dude in this video and Nairn are friends in real life and have been for some time, so this was all planned if you couldn’t tell, but even so people are absolutely going to be saying this to him for the rest of his life and thinking they’re absolutely hilarious. Stay strong buddy, I don’t want to be posting a video of you slamming the door in someone’s face in a couple of years time.
Why not pay tribute to Hodor with a Hodor door stop? You know it makes sense.
