I think even their ardent supporters would say that the Conservative Party is possibly at its lowest ebb after the past few weeks of Liz Truss’ reign as Prime Minister and every day seems to somehow be getting worse. It’s been great entertainment.

Yesterday, I think there was some kind of weird fight/bullying incident and loads of people resigned following a crunch vote about fracking and Tory MP Steve Baker came to talk to journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy about the situation. Baker didn’t like Guru-Murthy’s line of questioning and stormed off, leading the presenter to call him a ‘c**t’.

This obviously wasn’t broadcast as part of the interview, but made its way onto social media fairly sharpish and has been viewed millions of times because to be honest it’s pretty funny. Guru-Murthy apologised fairly quickly and Baker seems to think that that’s all done with now.

I don’t care what your political persuasion is, I think you’ve gotta admit that a journalist calling someone that they’ve just interviewed a ‘c**t’ is pretty damn hilarious. Probably even funnier when you realise who’s involved and the circus that’s going on with the Tories at the moment. Can’t wait to see how much dumber it’s going to be today. Can Liz Truss survive longer than the lettuce?
