Looks like Kim Kardashian is trying to harvest the energy of other more iconic women in history with her own fame slowly dying out, first the drama with Marylin Monroe’s dress and now apparently spending over £160,000 buying a pendant made famous by Princess Diana.

As per Sky News, the Attallah Cross, a 1920s pendant designed by luxury jewellery designer Garrard, was worn on several occasions by Diana in the 80s and 90s. Some might say it looks a bit gaudy and tacky (which would actually make it perfect for Kim), but it does look pretty badass to be fair, on Diana at least:

You’d have thought that after getting robbed in Paris that Kim K might stay away from making very public purchases like this, but I guess she couldn’t resist the publicity and “controversy” that comes with buying a famous dead princess’s jewellery as she thinks it elevates her own icon status. It’s actually pretty sad if you think about it. I mean, in 100 years what item of Kim Kardashian’s will the next reality TV celebrity be buying up? Her Spanx range?

Oh well, at least her giant butt won’t be able to destroy this one as it did Marylin’s dress. I do wonder what Meghan Markle makes of all this though? No doubt this was something she had her eye on once the cheque cleared from Harry’s book. Better luck next time.
