It’s already been a great year for horror movies and it looks as if it’s going to get even better with the release of ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’, the new movie from acclaimed writer director Yorgos Lanthimos.

Those of you acquainted with his previous work will know that he’s a master of psychological horror such as ‘Dogtooth’ and ‘The Lobster’, and his new film looks to follow the same sort of template. Starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, the trailer isn’t giving much away but it’s certainly implying that something very, very bad is going to happen, as a young girl sings an a cappella version of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Burn’ and people look very serious and edgy:
Yeah, not really sure what’s going on there but I’m guessing Colin Farrell accidentally killed Nicole Kidman’s husband and her kids are trying to get revenge on him by using some weird drug? I might be wrong but either way this looks like it’s going to be a good’un.
For more great horror, there’s been an abundance this year – check out this little known movie called Brimstone.
