I always find it so weird that grown adults can’t think of anything better to do with their time than dress up in clown suits and walk around town being weird and scaring people, but I guess that’s where we’re at in society these days. Thanks Joaquin Phoenix and Todd Philips.

In fairness, the killer clown craze has been around a lot longer than the ‘Joker’ movie, but there’s no doubt in my mind that the film probably helped reinstate it. Once again this year, some teenagers have reported being followed around by a freak in a clown suit, this time in the town of Herne Bay, Kent.

A 17 year old called the cops after clocking the clown pursuing them on Hampton Pier. His mother said the following in a Facebook post:

My 17-year-old son has just come home with his friend and they have both been followed along Hampton Pier to just past the park by someone dressed in a full clown outfit.

They were acting strangely, walking fast behind them, hiding and crouching behind the sea wall [and] acting creepily like they were acting out a killer clown.

My son and his friend hid for a couple of minutes and this clown was stood by the park along the sea wall swaying side to side. They ran home.

They tried to video it but it was too dark.

Sounds like a scary walk home hey? Even more spookily, when the police showed up they couldn’t find any trace of the clown. Almost like he was never there…..

Anyway, if you’re in the area I guess keep looking over your shoulder when you’re walking home late at night. Probably gonna have to start doing that wherever you are soon because Halloween is coming up. Spooky season.
