I’m pretty sure when we look back on 2022, one of the most iconic and unforgettable moments of the year will be Will Smith marching up to Chris Rock at the Oscars and slapping him right in the face.

We don’t really need to talk about that any more – it’s really been done to death – but Kevin Hart didn’t realise that during the pair’s Rock Hart: Only Headliners Allowed show at New York’s Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Hart was joined by comedian Dave Chapelle for the skit where he brought out a goat on stage and then announced that its name was Will Smith.

Kevin Hart: The name is Will Smith.

Yeah I suppose that’s kind of funny, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the reaction of some of the people there saying it’s the funniest joke ever and that it will never be topped. People seem to be enjoying it so maybe I’m just being a boomer or something, but it just seems kinda weird to get a goat out there and then say it’s Will Smith? I suppose if you can’t laugh about the fact your mate got slapped in one of the weirdest live television moments of all time, then what can you do? Laughter is the best medicine – just wish the joke was a bit funnier.
