This iconic video was directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies, Meyers being behind Kendrick Lamar’s most notable video, the classic and movement starting ‘Alright’.
‘Humble’ sees Kendrick firmly in the modern mode of the music video where every shot is iconic. Strong scenes include numerous religious references including Kendrick as Jesus at The Last Supper, and featuring Kendrick as what is presumably the Pope along with Lamar in a sea of bopping shaven heads and passing the Grey Poupon. ‘Humble’ managed to clock up half a million views in its first 24 hours and fires up anticipation for his fourth full length album after his last masterpiece ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’, which topped album of the year charts in 2015.
