Katie Price Makes Shocking Claim About How Few Times Dwight Yorke Has Seen Son Harvey In 21 Years

People say a lot of things about Katie Price, but it’s easy to forget that she’s a single mum raising five (?) kids, one of which has a number of physical and mental disabilities.

OK you might say she doesn’t exactly help herself by changing boyfriends every week, going on coke benders abroad, and bankrupting herself, but hey, no one’s perfect right?

Well one thing Katie Price has always been keen to change about her family situation is to get Harvey’s dad, ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, more involved with his son Harvey, who is now 21.

Dwight cut all communication with Katie when Harvey was a toddler, initially even refusing to acknowledge that Harvey was his until Katie took a DNA test.

Since then, Katie has claimed he has only seen Harvey nine times since he was born, but that she keeps the door open should he want to contact his son:

‘I think he’s seen Harvey about nine times in his life. I’ve tried to send him pictures of Harvey on Instagram, Harvey playing the piano, he just ignores everything – doesn’t want to know. But the door’s always open. Always.’

When asked why she remained so open to him sparking a relationship with Harvey despite his lack of interest, she explained:

‘I don’t know, because I’m like that. I’m like… Really I should say f**k off you a******e, you don’t deserve him, you’ve not been part of it. I don’t know. I just think… if he saw Harv and saw how amazing he is, for him to be like f***ing hell, I haven’t seen my…. it’s his biological son.

‘Any man can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a dad in my eyes, but it’s still his biological son, and I suppose, to prove him wrong.’

She continued:

‘When he found out he was blind and all of this, he was like, “Oh, he’ll never play golf, he’ll never play football because of you”, and it’s not my fault, is it?’

Well, if Dwight Yorke really did say that, then the guy is an absolute class A c*nt. Although I guess you can say that about him anyway given he’s only seen Harvey nine times in 21 years. Apparently he doesn’t even contact him on his birthdays, which is the least you would expect the guy to do.

A few years back, Katie came up with a plan to grab Harvey and a camera and just show up on Dwight Yorke’s door step to surprise him on camera:

That would have been must-watch content for sure, but I guess she thought better of it in the end. No use just turning up and trying to shame him into being involved in his son’s life, as fun as it might sound.

Katie had previously written this about Yorke in (one of) her autobiographies:

The last time Harvey’s biological father Dwight Yorke saw him, which was around eight years ago, the first thing he asked was why Harvey was so big. Why was I overfeeding him?

I’d explained Harvey’s condition to Dwight many times, but he refused to understand it and kept going on about him being fat.

It’s sad that he is unable to accept Harvey for who he is and seems unable or unwilling to work within his limitations.

On that occasion, I think Dwight wanted to blame someone for the fact that his son is disabled.

I have always said that if Dwight could see what a courageous and talented boy Harvey is then he would enjoy being with him so much.
