Poor old Sam Smith can’t seem to catch a break these days after their controversial performance at the Grammys and wearing that dumb outfit at the Brit Awards, as everyone on the planet seems desperate to call them every name under the sun.

The latest person to join the hate campaign against them is Katie Hopkins, who I’m surprised hasn’t waded in with her nasty vitriol sooner to be honest. Hopkins was speaking on the ‘Anything Goes with James English’ podcast when she went on a nasty rant about the ‘Unholy’ singer:

There’s one Sam Smith, who looks like an undercooked Greggs sausage roll with nipple tassels on.

Anybody, I don’t care if you think your trans or bi or queer or whatever, if you’re morbidly obese go and put some clothes on mate.

Put some kit on that because that is beastly.

That is a proper dirty, disgusting-looking guy who is chronically now ill.

That’s ill.

Wow to be honest I’m kind of shocked that she didn’t have a go at them for being non binary or queer or trans (she would have just taken her pick, wouldn’t she?) but instead chose to focus on the fact that Sam Smith is a bit of a fatty instead. I suppose we shouldn’t be that surprised considering the time when she put on loads of weight and then lost it to prove to everyone how easy that was for her to do. She’s got a real bee in her bonnet about fat people.

Anyway, Sam Smith is a bit overweight, I don’t think anyone can deny that can they? Not sure if that means that Katie Hopkins needs to come on the radio and shout and rant about it though. Seems a bit mean but I suppose that is her MO.

I know Sam Smith is a bit of a controversial character at the moment, but the fact that Katie Hopkins is calling them out and having a go at them should probably make it clear which side to get on in this ‘debate’, if you can even call it that. Can’t wait to see what the next person has to say about them.
